Plastic Playground was hosted at Liquid Leisure in Datchet again this year but this time included age categories and pro women. I was super nervous about competing as women from 14 different countries had travelled to compete. I didn't really have a great ride in the quarter finals on Friday but managed to scrape through in LCQ's so was really pleased to make it to the semi-finals. On the Sunday I was the first rider off the dock in the first heat which relieved some pressure as I could just get my runs over and done with! I ended up having a really good ride and was only 1.2 points off of qualifying for the finals! All the girls rode awesome and it was a fun weekend watching the competition.
After Plastic Playground I was home for a day then had my usual 30 minute boat set at LDBwakeschool, in preparation for the Boat Europeans in Ireland next month! However, I also had the UK Cable Nationals to get ready for. I drove up to Sheffield on the Thursday to get some practice in as they had changed the layout of the obstacles. Friday the competition began. I fell on my first run in qualifying but managed to put down a run on my second lap to qualify in first. The next day in the finals I stuck both of my runs, improving my second run I ended up in first place, but only by one point! It was a tough battle between me and Steph Caller, who really put the pressure on! I was more than stoked to come away with the National title for 2016! Congrats to Steph and Lara for 2nd and 3rd!
